Yahoo! The Super Mario Bros. Movie is absolutely crushing it at the box office! It has maintained the number one position since its release on April 5 and has recently added another $58 million to its domestic total for a total of $434 million.
Add in the international markets, and the movie has made a grand total of $876 million. It may yet pass the billion-dollar mark!
According to Box Office Mojo, The Super Mario Bros. Movie is firmly holding the #1 spot despite new challenges from movies like Evil Dead Rise, which released at #2.
Guy Ritchie’s new movie The Covenant opened at #3. Meanwhile, hangers-on John Wick: Chapter 4 and Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves take the #4 and #5 spots.
