Barbie Film banned in Vietnam because of a map

Although Barbie is very hype in Indonesia. The same does not apply in our neighbors. Vietnam became a country in Southeast Asia that officially did not air Barbie films. 

They built this doll film and were not allowed to air. It was announced live by Vi Kien Thanh as the Director General of the Vietnam Cinema Department.

They explained that the reason to ban the film from airing in Vietnamese theaters was because there were offensive scenes about the South China Sea.

 In the scene, China's claim to the South China Sea is shown with nine intermittent lines while Barbie is showing a world map.

This is what alludes to Vietnam. The desperate line is a line showing the territory claimed by China over the South China Sea. 

It is clearly strongly opposed by ASEAN countries such as Vietnam and the Philippines. For incorporating the disputed territory into its film, Vietnam was also interested in the film.

The news later became a ubiquitous talk and international news. Until finally as a film distributor, Warner Bros. spoke. 

They denied that there was a hidden message or intent to allude to the dispute in the South China Sea. He explained that it was just a graffiti of a little boy's krayon made at random.But despite being explained as such, Vietnam remained in its stance to reject the film and would not show it.

 However, recent news of Vietnam will continue to air Barbie on the Vietnam Netflix streaming platform. However, the scene depicting the South China Sea will be removed from its duration.

Yes, it may be very important about the presence of these nine desperate lines that are feeling to offend them. And unequivocally, they banned Barbie from their country. 

The movie we used to think was fun and fun, but who could have been shaken into the issue of this complicated political dispute.

Let whatever this is their decision as a form of an attitude to maintain the integrity of the country. So this is a thing that's worth respect.
